The Portage Islanders were on the ice in South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League action tonight. In a spirited effort from the Islanders, they defeated the Altona Maroons by a final score of 7-3.

Portage was actually down 3-2 entering the third period but reeled off five goals in the third to claim the win.

The Islanders won't get much rest as they hit the road tomorrow evening when they head to Warren to face the Mercurys. Puck drop is 8:00 p.m.
