The Gladstone Lakers will look to rebound against the mighty Boissevain Border Kings in game two of the Tiger Hills Hockey League final.

The Border Kings won game one at home 8-3 and lead the best-of-five series 1-0.

"We figured out that we can probably play with them," says head coach of the Lakers Dale Evenson. "The score didn't really indicate the play. We seemed to have some bad breaks. We had a 3-2 lead at one time, and giving up a short-handed goal really changed up the whole momentum of the game."

He says they're looking forward to playing at home for game two.

"It's going to help us for sure. Boissevain's an older rink and a smaller rink. They're used to playing in that building," says Evenson. "It was a challenge there for sure, but we feel good at home too. Hopefully we can go out to win and tie the series up."

Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m.
