It's 19 years and counting for the Portage la Prairie Lioness Club's annual celebrity auction, happening tomorrow night.

It'll be at the Canada Inns, and Chair Heather Graham feels it's become important for the community, and the club.

She says that's why Central Plains Cancer Services remains their charity of choice, and is an opportunity for them to pay back.

"Just for the fact that so many people have been touched with cancer," she says, "We've all had to deal with facing that, and we just feel, as an organization, this is a way that we can pay back. It's just always nice to know that Sharilyn (Knox) and her team are there for those walking that journey. It's very hard."

Graham's grateful for the many businesses and organizations that have contributed to the event.

"We just really appreciate everything that all the merchants, and all the people," she says, "How they support us. It gets us generated into a thought of 'Okay, we're going to do this again, and we're going to help Sharilyn and her team out'. It pulls us together as a club."

The auction begins at 7:30 tomorrow night.
