Prime Minister Stephen Harper's government remains in office after the Liberals decided not to bring them down over the Throne Speech.

Shawn Rawlings, the Portage-Lisgar Liberal riding association vice president, hopes this will push the Tories to listen to other parties and the Canadian people. He says that isn't happening now, and calls the prime minister irresponsible.

Rawlings believes his party has done the right thing for Canada, by avoiding the third election in four years, which is extremely expensive.

He says the Liberals have listened to Canadians' wish not to go to the polls, even though there's little they can support in the Throne Speech.
