Portage RCMP were called to a residence on Spruce Bay last week for a robbery and assault that took place.

According to police, shortly before 5 p.m., on Sept. 24, RCMP received a call of a robbery in the 600 block of Spruce Bay. Police say upon arrival, officers spoke to the victims who allege two females entered the residence, assaulted and stole items from several people before leaving in a vehicle.

Officers were able to locate one of the suspects and arrested a 30-year-old Long Plain woman on four counts of robbery, break and enter, and assault with a weapon. RCMP are still looking for the second suspect, 36-year-old Krystal Merrick of Long Plain. A warrant of arrest has been issued and she faces charges of break and enter, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and four counts of robbery.

Police ask anyone with information of her whereabouts to call Portage la Prairie RCMP 204-857-4445 with that information.
