The 2020 edition of Manitoba Ag Days is in the books.

The three-day show featured the latest in agricultural advancements.

General Manager Kristen Phillips says it was a fantastic show.

"We had average to above-average attendance on Tuesday, average attendance on Wednesday, and Thursday was a little bit down, but that nice weather probably played into it. Overall, it was a fantastic show with great attendance."

45,000 people from across the prairies make their way to Brandon to attend the showcase.

"I think it's that we are a trade show first and we offer a complimentary speaker series. We always have something new at the show," says Phillips. "Everyone's bringing their newest, best, greatest innovation to the show, and then we complement that with an amazing speaker lineup."

She notes there was a lot of optimism in the air at this year's show.

"2019 was difficult for everyone, and you could just tell people were ready to start planning for 2020. That was so wonderful to feel and hear within the building," says Phillips. "We just finished moving out (for this year) and our group gets together next Monday, and we do a complete debrief of the show and start planning for 2021."

She says they've already booked some speakers for 2021, and they've chosen their theme for next year. More information is expected within the coming months.
