The Manitoba government announced today it plans to extend the provincial state of emergency, first issued on March 20th in response to COVID-19, for another 30 days. This marks the third time the order has been lengthened, and according to the government, this allows officials to continue to take quick action in order to support Manitobans when they need it most.

According to the province, the latest extension will ensure the government can continue to protect the health and safety of all Manitobans and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The extension takes effect at 4 p.m. Monday, June 15 for a period of 30 days.
