Sandy Bay First Nation held an information meeting for citizens yesterday.

 

About 600 people attended to inquire about the upcoming accelerated elections for chief.

Chief McIvor and council have been removed and a nomination meeting will be held on Monday the 18th.

Lynette Roulette filed the appeal of the original election she thinks most people expressed their dislike for Mcivor's work at the meeting.

Roulette wants to stop corruption on reserves and in council.

She will be running for chief in the upcoming election.
