Last Tuesday saw the Long Plain Health Services' Men's Night Out.

Community Mental Health Worker Isaias Harper explains the Men's Night Out is an ongoing activity where men get together to connect. As a mental health worker, he says his goal is to keep men mentally well.

"A lot of times, they have nowhere to go and they have nothing to do in the evening," says Harper, explaining the importance of the nights out. "This leads to depression and leads to other illegal activity. So we're trying to keep men busy."

Harper notes he has been running the Men's Night Out off and on for about four years now. He says brothers Robert and Ralph Francis will be taking charge of the activity and turning it into a monthly event. Harper adds anyone wanting to know more about their upcoming nights out can give him a call at 870-2737 or contact the health centre at 252-2369.
