Manitoba First Nations Police have charged a man with aggravated assult.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 19, at around midnight when officers responded to a call.

The caller stated a man was banging on their door asking for help. Police located a man who had serious wounds to his head. The victim said he attended a house party when an argument broke out and was then assaulted by another man.

Officers received the name and location of the suspect while investigating. Police attended the residence and arrested the suspect.

23-year-old Todd Owen Linklater, of Long Plain First Nation, was remanded into custody and has been charged with aggravated assault, six counts of uttering threats, and failing to comply with a release order.
