With news of music videos in the area, two local churches held an event where youth groups were tasked with making one of their own. Amy Hanna, one of the event's organizers, shared what the event entailed.

"We got a bunch of different groups together, and they went out to different houses to create their own music videos." Hanna adds, "They had two different choices they could choose from; either VeggieTales or Disney songs. Or, if they came up with their own ideas, they could send it in and make suggestions."

The events began Friday night, when team leaders were able to discuss their song options with their group, and then the following morning, teams travelled to their assigned homes to record the video. Hanna says it was great to see each group get out of their comfort zones and meet new people.

"A highlight for me was seeing all different age groups and people from different places getting together and working together on something with people they've never met before, and maybe wouldn't have met, if they hadn't been a part of this activity."

The event was put on by a partnership between the 5th Avenue and River Road Gospel Halls. It was attended by over 100 youth from various parts of Manitoba, as well as Saskatchewan and Alberta. Hanna says, while they haven't made definite plans for next year, there are talks of doing it again next year.
