A joint project between the RM of Victoria and the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne has resulted in a new doctors' clinic for the region. RM of Victoria Reeve Harold Purkess says the new clinic was built on the side of the hospital, noting the residents of both municipalities donated very generously to help move this project forward. Purkess says the new building includes two exam rooms for each of the three doctors as well as a public washroom and a staff meeting area. He notes the doctors were pretty cramped in their old quarters, adding now there's a lot of room and the place is very bright and cheery.

Purkess says the two municipalities will pay the rest of the tab for the clinic if donations fall short. He notes contributions are still coming in, adding the folks from the rural area really stepped up. Purkess says it was amazing at how many donations they received to get this project going.
