The Interlake Blue Jays begin the 2021 campaign in the win column. The Jays took down the Carillon Sultans 5-3 tonight on their home field.

Interlake finished last season with a 9-12 record and sixth place in the league standings, however, they upset the higher-seeded Pembina Valley Orioles in round one. They will be looking to come into the postseason as one of the favourites this time around.

The Blue Jays will be back in action on Friday as they hit the road to Winnipeg for a meeting with the defending champions, the Elmwood Giants. The first pitch is set for 7:30.
