The Angus Reid Institute has published December's Premiers’ Performance approval rating list, and it is not kind to Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister.

Among the highest approval ratings sit British Columbia Premier John Horgan and Quebec Premier Francois Legault with 63 per cent approval ratings.

According to Angus Reid, Pallister sits dead last in the pack with just 32 per cent of residents approving of the Progressive Conservative leader, representing a 12-point drop from last quarter. Pallister draws ire from having some of the toughest COVID-19 restrictions country-wide.

Not far behind Pallister lies Alberta Priemer Jason Kenney. He sits eight points ahead of the Manitoba Premier with 40 a per cent rating.

In the middle of the pack are New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs (63 per cent), Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil (62 per cent), Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe (61 per cent), Premier Doug Ford in Ontario (55 per cent), and  Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey at (53 per cent).

Angus Reid Institute finds Canadians generally continue to hold positive views of their respective premiers’ job performance.
