A local football player received the opportunity to play for Team Manitoba.

Offensive lineman Carter Little went to Kingston, Ontario last week for the under 18 Football Canada Cup. He outlines what the experience was like representing his province.

"When I was playing it was pretty hard," says Little. "Those people are really good players. Our coach is really good, he just tells us to keep playing, keep punching them in the throats and we'll be good to go."

Little also feels like he will be a more polished player when he returns to PCI for his senior season.

"Well really I just have so much experience now," says Little. "It's hard to explain, but I have so many skills to bring, it's crazy."

He attended try-outs for team Manitoba for two months before having secured a spot on the Team Manitoba roster.

The team placed fifth at the Football Canada Cup, winning the consolation finals. They beat out British Columbia in that game 18-6 and had a record of 2-1 at the tournament.
