The PCI Saints defeated the Kelvin Clippers tonight 3-2 at BDO Centre. Coach Joanne Clark- Gillespie says everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief after the game, glad for their win.

She reflects on how they came out on top.

"We've been talking about how we have to out-work teams, and that's exactly what we did again tonight. Everybody was working hard, getting to loose pucks and battling, and that's what we need to do to be successful in this division," says Clark-Gillespie.

The win was thanks to three goals by both Maddie Shwaluk in the first and third period, and Chelsea Owen in the second.

Clark- Gillepsie says the girls were a bit nervous going into the third period tied up 2 -2, but says they used that to their advantage to keep their legs moving.

"We were a little nervous because the last few losses we've had, we've been in a good position going into the third and then losing at the end. The last two games we lost has been less than 30 second left in the game," Clark-Gillespie says.

The Saints' next game is at home against the College Jeanne Suave (CJS) Olympiens on Monday.
