It took extra innings and they had to play well into the night. And despite the fact the sun doesn't set until about 9:30 p.m. they needed to use the lights in Altona to finish up the final game. When the dust settled, the PCI Trojans were the Zone 4 champions as they came back to beat Garden Valley Collegiate of Winkler 20-19 in the final game. The Trojans trailed 15-3 after 2 innings and capped off the amazing comeback by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the eighth for the win.

To get to the final, the Trojans had to win another very close game. Earlier in the day, they defeated W.C. Miller of Altona 7-6 in the sem-finals.

The team will now compete for the provincial championship against Stonewall, Carberry/Cartwright/Baldur/Glenboro, Birtle/Shoal Lake and Vincent Massey (host team) of Brandon next week. That event runs from June 2nd to 4th.
