The Portage Pitbulls youth football program has pushed back all operations until at least June 1st. While they haven't been affected quite as much as some of the other sports, due to their season starting later in the year, President Mike Robinson says they still will have to postpone some things. He gives more details.

"Currently, right now, everything's up in the air," says Robinson. "As of right now we know everything, league-wide, has been pushed until June 1st for any kind of decision. It has pushed our registration back which is usually the first weekend in May. As far as our league goes, we'll get more information sometime before May 15th."

Robinson describes what their plans are now for registration.

"So, right now we don't have any dates set," says Robinson. "We're kind of waiting day-by-day and week-by-week, as everybody else is. Once we get more information as far as when sports and activities like that can open up then we'll be able to work as a league and as the Pitbulls ourselves to get the registration done quickly and get the season started as soon as possible."

Robinson notes they are not worried about the season being pushed back because they typically end the year in October when the weather starts to get colder anyway. He adds, if need be, they will just shorten the season by a few games rather than extend it later into the year.
