With the Junior Hockey playoffs in full swing, here's a look at how some of the players you may know have fared thus far:

MJHL

Logan Calder (Forward, '01) - After starting the year as the Terriers' team captain, Calder is now a key member for the Dauphin Kings, where the Portager has dished out two assists this postseason. The Kings have the opportunity to sweep the Swan Valley Stampeders in their first-round series, with game four going down tonight.

Parker Malchuk (Defenceman, '02) - The Birtle, Manitoba product spent 22 games in Portage in the 2019-20 season and is now the leader in Dauphin. The captain is tied for second in playoff points with a goal and five assists through three games.

Carson Buydens (Forward, '04) - Gladstone's own Carson Buydens started his first MJHL postseason off the scoreboard but now has three points in the last two games. The MJHL Rookie of the Year, and the Virden Oil Capitals finished off a four-game sweep of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines this weekend and are the first team to move on to the second round of the playoffs.

Logan Rands (Defenceman, '01) - The 20-year-old finished the first round with four points over the four games, including the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 1. Rands and the Oil Capitals will be playing the winner between the Dauphin Kings and Swan Valley Stampeders in round two.

Kolton Shindle (Forward, '01) - The Carman native's MJHL career has come to an end after his Waywayseecappo Wolverines were swept in the first round. Despite the loss, the local and former Terrier put up six points, making him tied for second in scoring in the playoffs so far.

Joey Moffatt (Forward, '01) - Moffatt was also a graduating member of the Wolverines, meaning his MJHL journey has ended as well. In the playoffs, the Portager scored three goals.

Rhys Raeside (Forward, '03) - Raeside started this season with the Portage Terriers before spending the vast majority of the year in the WHL with the Lethbridge Hurricanes where he played 12 games. The Terriers traded his rights mid-season to the Winnipeg Blues, who he has joined for the playoffs. He has a goal and an assist in four games. Their series with the Winkler Flyers are tied a 2-2.

Sheldin Howard (Forward, '01) - The ex-Terrier is one of two members of the Selkirk Steelers with multiple points this postseason. He has a goal and an assist as his team trails the Steinbach Pistons 2-1.

SJHL

Kian Calder (Defenceman, '02) - The Portage product currently has two goals through seven playoff games with the Estevan Bruins. Calder and the Bruins are currently up 2-0 in their second-round series against the Yorkton Terriers. Estevan is the host of this year's Centennial Cup tournament, giving them a guaranteed spot.

Zak Smith (Forward '01) - Smith is looking to make the most of his senior season as the Flin Flon Bombers' team captain has three goals and an assist through eight playoff games. The Bombers have a 2-0 series lead over the Humboldt Broncos in the second round of the SJHL playoffs.

Reece Richmond (Defenceman '02) - The former Terriers' blueliner is also assisting the Flin Flon Bombers on their playoff run as he has a goal and an assist through seven games.
