It's Christmas Eve and it just happens to be a Sunday. While many churches in the area are doing their regular Sunday services today, most will focus on Christmas and some are doing extra services as well. For the places we were able to connect with, here are some of the services being offered.

Bible Baptist (765 Saskatchewan Ave W): 10 a.m. open bible school, 11 a.m. morning worship service, and 7 p.m. evening service (listen to the evening service here)

Prairie Alliance (2375 Saskatchewan Ave W): Carols by candlelight. A festive night of celebration on Christmas Eve with two separate services at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Good Sheppard Roman Catholic (1125 Saskatchewan Ave E): Christmas Eve service, 7:00 p.m. Christmas Day - 10:30 a.m. 

Highway Pentecostal (1680 Saskatchewan Ave W): 10 a.m. service and a traditional Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m.

Portage Evangelical (72 3rd St NE): 10:30 a.m. service today and Christmas Day

McKenzie United (85 11th St NW): 10:30 a.m. service (expect a lot of carols and singing)

First Presbyterian (17 Royal Rd S): 10:30 a.m. service only, no evening service

Crescent Heights Chapel (1745 Saskatchewan Ave W): Christmas Eve Day service at 11 a.m. A time of singing beloved Christmas carols and hymns and a seasonal message from God's Word. 

Trinity United (15 Tupper St S): traditional Christmas Eve service at 7:00 p.m.

St. Mary's Anglican (36 2nd St SW ): Christmas Eve 7:00 p.m. with a service of Holy Communion.

River Road Gospel Hall - 7 p.m. informal gathering in the dining area with Christmas Carols, a Christmas message, and a time to visit over snacks. Everyone welcome!

Golden Plains Baptist (1201 Tupper St. N): morning service at 10 a.m. and evening service at 6 p.m.

Community Fellowship in Newton: 7 p.m. celebrating the joy of Christmas. The choir will be presenting, "Love Was Born A King."
