Saskatchewan Avenue near 7th Street SE is currently blocked due to a serious accident and STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the site. Both lanes of Saskatchewan Avenue are currently closed to and from Winnipeg at the east end of Portage.

A blue sports car and a silver SUV at the scene appeared heavily damaged. The passenger of the blue vehicle was transported by STARS after firefighters extricated the person by cutting away the passenger door, while the driver was able to leave the vehicle by himself.
