Students in the Portage la Prairie School Division (PLPSD) are taking in a snowy April day!

Although the schools are open for anyone to attend, the buses in the PLPSD are not running, which leaves some students at home.

With that being the case, we caught up with some students to see what they like to do on days like today.

Kayle Webber from Yellowquill School makes any snow day a fun one.

"As I get out of bed, I like to grab my blankets and go downstairs and cuddle with my dogs, maybe even make some hot chocolate and then later in the day, I'll watch some Christmas movies that we have recorded on the PVR."

Logan Taylor, who goes to school at Fort la Reine, l has a bit of a different approach.

"I just like to sit home and just lay in my bed. I'm lazy, very lazy."

Some of the other students had a similar idea.

Conner Lukey from Yellowquill says that he prefers to take it easy on days like today.

"If I'm at home, I just like to sleep in and catch up on sleep."

Bridget Oke, a Fort la Reine student says that she enjoys building things on her days off.

"Make snow forts, maybe get some blankets and a bunch of pillows and make a fort in the house," she continues. "If the snow day is not that bad, I would love to still go to school."

Sewa Adeniyi Angela and Bradly Chaske, from Fort la Reine notes that snow days can be nice to see family.

"I really want to go to my sibling's house, if that's possible and stay there for the rest of the snow day," Adds Angela. "I might hang out with my family, watch a movie, then I'm going to my game and help clean up, notes Chase.
