The PCI Saints have won the Zone 4 Fastpitch championship for the fifth year in a row.

The Saints won by Mercy Rule at the end of the third inning by a score of 17-1,capping off a season where they were led by Grade twelve players Kiera Shwaluk and Shayne Nichols.

Shwaluk says they feel they have a good shot going into Provincials.

"I think we're in a good positions, we haven't played only two teams," Shwaluk says. "So we know what we're getting ourselves into, and I think we have a pretty good shot."

Nichols notes that it's a great feeling to capture her fourth championship in a row.

"It feels pretty good, knowing that even the year before me and Kiera came here, they won that, so it's been a five-peat, and it's super exciting to be a part of it."

Next up for the Saints, they'll head to Provincials in Winkler on June 1-2.
