The PCI Saints hockey team was on the ice tonight in the Winnipeg Women's High School Hockey League. They were up against the Lord Selkirk Royals.

The first period was a scoreless frame that saw chances for both sides.

In the third, the Saints just couldn't keep up with the Royals. They potted a trio of markers to make the final score 4-0.

Saints Head Coach Jo-Anne Clark-Gillespie says the girls needed to be more mentally disciplined.

"Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy," notes Clark-Gillespie. "When we start standing still then we have to chase the game too much because we're standing still. I've been trying to explain that if you keep your feet moving then your brain keeps moving too but when you stand still the brains tops thinking. We have some moments where we're just not focused on what's going on and they have to be brought back to what's happening."

The next action for the Saints comes against the Sanford Sabres. That name will happen at Stride Place on Dec. 10th. Puck drop is set for 3:45 PM.
