The Portage Collegiate Saints hockey team is gearing up to take on the J.H. Bruns Broncos in the Winnipeg Women's High School Hockey League Divison 2.

The Saints are 2-4 in this early season but all of their losses have come by just one goal. While their last game resulted in a loss, they were able to take down the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes (giving them their first loss of the season) prior to that, who are the top team in the division.

Meanwhile, for the Broncos, they are 6-1 with the division's highest goal differential with a +16.

PCI head coach Jo-Anne Clark Gillespie says they need to set the tone early with their intensity. She also wants to see the girls crashing the net more without the puck so they can get their sticks on rebound opportunities.

Puck drop for today's game is set for 4:00 at the BDO Centre.
