The goods and services auction at Warren Elementary School last week was a success, raising funds for a new playground. Prinicipal Chris Gamble says they raised over $5000.

"We raised over $4,500 dollars with the thirty items that we auctioned. We also did our test drive event and raised another thousand dollars yesterday on that, so all in total, we raised $5,581, which is a big win for our students and the playground," says Gamble.

Gamble says the auction is the kind of thing that can't happen every year, but is manageable every other year. He explains their plans moving forward.

"I don't know what our next initiative will be, but we're hoping to break ground with the money that we made, and hopefully a few successful grant applicatons. Possibly in the future we'd do another auction, but we'd need to have a new goal," Gamble says.

Gamble notes they're focused on celebrating right now, and are happy the community came out to support the cause.
