Hopefully, Portage la Prairie citizens didn't take their winter tires off just yet, as the region is expected to get another taste of Winter on Thursday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) published a snowfall warning as of 4:01 p.m. Wednesday in anticipation of 10 to 20 cm of snow falling across southern Manitoba over the next few days.

ECCC notes that visibility may be suddenly reduced when heavy snow is coming down. So, be prepared to adjust to changing road conditions.

Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.

ECCC's latest forecast projects the storm will end Friday evening.
