A couple of streets in MacGregor are looking very good, after the completion of some surface upgrades.

Municipality of North Norfolk Mayor Neil Christoffersen says it was a significant project.

"It was a re-surfacing initiative that we'd undertaken on Grafton Street, and around to Victoria Street," he says, "And we were fortunate enough to get 50% of the funding from the province, so we had to do some digging, and some packing, and get all the streets lined up. We did a bunch of asphalting and some concrete sidewalks around the personal care home as well."

Christoffersen says the south side of MacGregor's looking good, noting there was also work done earlier on Fotheringham Drive, and Temple Street.

"Over the years, it's (the streets) shown its share of wear and tear," he says, "And it was just nice to get a fresh uplift on it, and some of the sidewalks replaced. And access into the personal care home, which has always been an issue with parking, to have it all cleaned up and make it a lot more accessible, the people coming to visit their family members are happy about that as well."
