U18 AAA Yellowhead Chiefs forward Cole Topham is the Player of the Week in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League. The 17-year-old put up four points in two games this past weekend against the U18 AAA Brandon Wheat Kings.

In their first outing, Topham chipped in on all three goals, finding the back of the net twice himself. The Chiefs were victorious in that game 4-3 via shootout, where Topham found the back of the net again. This was just the third time this season the Wheat Kings have fallen and was only the tenth win of the year for Yellowhead.

The Cheifs were unable to grab a second win over Brandon the following night as they fell 5-3 but Topham scored once again in this one, which brought him up to 11 goals and 22 points in 23 games this season.

The Minnedosa, Manitoba product was drafted in the 2019 MJHL Bantam Draft by the Portage Terriers, 33rd overall and is now a part of the Neepawa Titans organization. He scored 29 points in 45 games in his last full season of hockey with the Chiefs.

Topham and the rest of Yellowhead's roster will be in action next, on Friday as they take on the Interlake Lightning to begin a set of three straight outings.
