The Portage Terriers are on the road today to take on the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The Terriers are on game number 2 of a 3 game road trip.

This will mark the 5th time the two teams have met, and the series is tied at two games a-piece. They come into the game sitting third in the standings with a 27-10-2 record with 56 points while the Wolverines are 5th with a 22-15-2 record for 49 points.

"(Waywayseecappo) is a fast team, and they move the puck well. We're going to have to be at our best to hopefully come out with a win," says Assistant Coach Paul Harland. "We're still massaging some lines and line combinations after the trade deadline, so we're trying to find what's going to look best for our forward group. I think we just have to come to play with good intensity and make sure we're ready to play right off the get-go."

The Dogs come into the game leading the league in the powerplay department at 26.9% while the Wolverines slot in 5th at 22%.

Harland talks about how the trade deadline acquisitions have helped their lineup.

"All three of the new guys that we've traded for have all got quick feet, and they're all smart players. I think overall as a group we're a little bit quicker than we were a couple of weeks ago. That's a part of what we wanted to address, and I think we've done that."

Puck drop is at 7:30 in Waywayseecappo. You can listen to the game live on CFRY or Portage Online.
