After making several trades over the last week, the Portage Terriers will be back in action against the Winnipeg Freeze. With several new faces on the squad, the hope is some of all of those players will make their debut this evening.

The Terriers enter the contest in third place by points in the MGEU East Division while the Freeze sit in last place overall.

The Terriers recently snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-0 victory over Swan Valley in their last match. Over the last 10 games, Portage has gone 6-2-1-1.

The Freeze have lost 10 in a row, being shutout for the last three straight and 4 times total in that stretch. Their last win came on November 30th, a 9-4 victory over the Winnipeg Blues.

The Terriers special teams played well in their last matchup, going 3/6 on the powerplay and 1/1 on the penalty kill in an exceptionally disciplined effort for the team.

It could be a history-making night as Terrier head coach Blake Spiller will tie Doug Stokes for the all-time winningest coach in MJHL regular season should his team record a victory.

Most wins - head coach, regular season
1. Doug Stokes - 670
