Portage Terriers are preparing for an MJHL re-match with Selkirk Steelers Thursday night at the PCU Centre.

Saturday night, the Dogs were winners in the steel city.

Because the games are so close together, Terriers' assistant coach Paul Harland expects the Steelers to come with added incentive to win in the opposition's home rink. He calls the Steelers a solid, skilled team, so the Terriers will have to come to the rink with the same work ethic they exhibited on Saturday. Harland says that night, they got the puck on the Selkirk net consistently, as wells had strong goaltending at their end, and if that happens again, they have a good chance to win.

Harland says the coaching staff's pleased with the performance of forward Devin Schade, who recently joined the team. He points out Schade works hard at both ends of the rink, and is settling into his role with the Terriers. Harland describes him as a skilled player, who'll get quality chances if he keeps working hard.

Harland thinks the Terriers' line-up will remain status quo for Thursday night, unless there are injuries that haven't surfaced yet.

Game time for the Terriers and Steelers is 7:30 Thursday night.
