The Portage Terriers Reece Henry was just named the Rookie of the Month. Henry explains so far, the past two months on the team has been great.

"It's awesome," says Henry. "I've loved it so far. It's a great organization, hopefully, we can keep it going and get some wins."

Henry adds coming into this season he held high expectations for himself. He stresses he has to give his linemates credit because they have helped him out a lot, and because their chemistry is great on the ice.

The 18-year-old forward from Regina recorded 13 points (1-12) in 11 games in October and currently sits tied for fourth overall in rookie scoring, two behind the league leader.

The runners up were 17 year old defenceman Colby Jaquet of the Selkirk Steelers and 18 year old defenceman Drake Burgin of the Winkler Flyers.
