In the late 80's, a small group of people dedicated to the Parkland area came up with an idea that they felt could be a big deal for the region and also help contribute funds to local groups and causes.

A group of shareholders got together and invested in the vision of "Dauphin's Countryfest", a small non-profit festival on the grounds of Selo Ukraina, whose goal and vision was to continue to put money back into the growing community. A country music event that showcased top bands along with local entertainers. 35 years later, we have Canada's longest-running country music festival in Dauphin's Countryfest.

CFRY was at that very first event and so was the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Both will be there in 2024. For the anniversary event, it will be a return to the 90's, and some of the biggest names from the past will be back. You can join in the fin as well with tickets going on sale November 13th.

Both CFRY and Country 93 will also give you a chance to not only beat the box office and win tickets before they go on sale, but many tickets will be up for grabs as the festival gets closer and closer.

The 35th annual festival is now proudly dubbed "35 and Still Alive," and it will take place from June 28th – 30th 2024 at the festival's iconic site Selo Ukraina site just south of Dauphin. The lineup, revealed in this initial announcement, includes some of the biggest names in country music history:

Alabama, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jo Dee Messina, Mark Chesnutt, and Diamond Rio are among the mainstage artists performing, along with the Great Canadian Roadtrip package featuring Michelle Wright, Jason McCoy and Doc Walker.

Another exciting group hitting the main stage is The Frontmen – consisting of Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, Richie McDonald formerly of Lonestar, and Tim Rushlow formerly of Little Texas, coming together as one supergroup that will perform decades of chart-topping hits.

It wouldn’t be a proper throwback without some 90s queens of Canadian country music, we are proud to be bringing Patricia Conroy, Lisa Brokop, and Beverley Mahood to the main stage to deliver some powerful performances that will keep you dancin’ all day long.
