It was a scary situation for an employee at a business in the 2300 block of Sissons Drive after being threatened with an edged weapon last Saturday.

Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to the robbery just before 8:30 p.m. Three suspects took off in a pick-up truck with several hundred dollars worth of merchandise.

The suspect vehicle was behind a building in the 2400 block of Saskatchewan Avenue West, but the people were gone. Two suspects were located in the 2200 block, while a third was found inside the building where the vehicle was parked. All three were arrested without incident.

64-year-old Alvin Prince of Winnipeg faces charges of:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public

31-year-old Dorian Okimow of Winnipeg faces charges of:

  • Robbery with a Weapon
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • two counts of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Identity Fraud, and Fail to Comply with a Release Order

33-year-old Crystal Daniels of Winnipeg faces charges of:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 
  • Utter Threats and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

All three appeared in court on August 28th. No one was injured in this event.
