It's a big game this afternoon for Portage Collegiate Trojans in the Winnipeg High School Football League playoffs. They're up against River East Kodiaks in the semi-finals, with the winner advancing to the CTV Bowl final.

Trojans' coach Donald Burrell feels one of the keys to winning is improving man-to-man coverage, especially against the Kodiaks' quarterback.

"And containing this quarterback," he says, "He's a very good scrambler, and he likes to use his legs a lot so we have to do a better job in our man-to-man coverages, because we didn't do very well in our last outing when we played him. And we have to contain him in the pocket, and get him on the ground."

Burrell doesn't plan on changing anything offensively.

"We have an offensive identity, and we're going to stick with that identity," he says, "Just making sure that the offensive line know their assignments, and know who they're blocking, and know when to double team, and when to chip up and go to the second level. It's too late in the year to try to change a whole lot of things offensively."

The game's in Winnipeg, at Investor's Group Field. Kick-off's at 5 o'clock.
