A 22-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested on outstanding warrants earlier this week in Portage.

According to police, on Nov. 13, shortly before midnight, a Portage la Prairie RCMP officer observed a man on a bicycle travelling on Saskatchewan Avenue West with no lights. The officer stopped the bicycle and spoke to the rider, who police say had an outstanding warrant and was subsequently arrested. The man was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order, and was remanded into custody to appear in court.
