The PCI Trojans are back on the field today after a trip to Winnipeg last night.

PCI opened their season with a 3-3 tie against Springfield at Optimist Park. The Trojans controlled the play for most of the game, but a few minor errors ended up costing them a shot at a win. Trojans' Head Coach Al Patterson explains.

"Unfortunately we dropped a few balls in the defensive zone that ended up costing us, or we missed a few that were passed up. The number of penalties we took was a little bit high, we virtually played almost one full quarter shorthanded."

Trojans' Tyler Grantham, Avery Scarrett and Cole Hannah were the goal scorers last night. The Trojans won't have much time to rest through, as they've got a double header today at the PCI field. Their first game is against Tuelon at noon, then a rematch against Springfield at 3. Patterson feels they'll be more composed today.

"I think we're going to learn from some of the things we did wrong yesterday for sure. I think we're right where we need to be to be playing the teams that we're going to be playing sp we'll see how things go."

Game 1 against Tuelon's at noon.
