It's a busy Wednesday in the Santa Clara Baseball League with four games on the schedule.

The Portage Padres are on the road for their final three games of the Regular Season and it starts tonight in Carberry. They won the Clearwater Sports Day Tournament over the weekend after falling to the Austin A's last week.

"It was a fun day for sure," says Padres' first baseman Tyler Butler. "We picked up some guys from Pilot Mound and it's just a fun tournament we like to take part in every year."

The Padres sit atop the league with a 9-1-1 while the Royals are making a push for better positioning heading into the playoffs.

"We need to get back on track tonight," says Butler. "We haven't been our normal selves lately and we'd like to use these three games heading into playoffs to gain some momentum for sure. They'll be ready tonight, and I'm sure we will too."

Portage won the only meeting of the season 11-1 in May. That game gets going at 7 p.m.

Other games tonight include Austin visiting Plumas. Neepawa welcomes the Dauphin Brewers and the Minnedosa Mavericks take on Ebb and Flow. All three of those games get going at 7 p.m.
