The Portage Fusion (0-4-1) continue their search for a victory in the Manitoba Major Soccer League Friday. They host North Winnipeg United (3-2) in a Division 5 match at Rotary Republic Park in Portage la Prairie.

After a tough may, Portage seems to be heading in the right direction. They came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie Monday night's against Liberty FC (2-2-1), earning their first point of the season in the process.

"We pressed near the end and tied it up, and we almost got a win out of that one," says Fusion defender Glenn McCulloch. "We just need a little more chemistry on the field right from the start. We were playing really well (Monday night) and we just need to know each other a little more on the field, where players are and where they're going, so we can fill the holes and not leave the gaps for shots that hurt us."

North Winnipeg is currently on a skid of their own. They've lost their last two games each by a goal, so they'll be hungry to turn things around.

Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Rotary Republic Park.
