The Portage Padres winning streak came to a close last night.

They fell 8-4 to the Austin A's in their final Santa Clara Baseball League match at Rotary Republic Park this regular season.

"We had to lose sometime," says Padres' Tyler Butler. "It was just a bad outing that's all. We made a few errors in the first few innings but the credit has to go to A's pitcher Brody Moffat. He pitched the complete game for them."

The Padres still sit in first place at 9-1-1 while the A's moved up to 4-6. Portage has three games remaining, all are on the road, and two are against Ebb and Flow. Their next game is Wednesday, July 5th, against Carberry.
