Dustin Penner has re-signed with the Los Angeles Kings. The Winkler native inked a one-year deal worth $3.25 million.

The 29-year old forward recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 65 games this past season with Los Angeles. He added three goals and eight assists in 20 playoff games helping the Kings win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

Penner played for the Ducks when Anaheim won the 2007 Stanley Cup. He scored 29 goals that season and then signed a five-year $21.5 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers. That contract expired this past season. Penner has 135 goals and 127 assists in 489 career games with the Kings, Oilers and Ducks.
