Portage FC has yet another victory under their belt after today's U-15 Boys Indoor Rec Soccer League game against Valley Garden's Team Lopez.

Portage jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the game but Valley Garden scored twice near the end of the first half to bring the scored up to 3-2.

Portage fired back with three fast goals at the start of the second and a penalty kick brought them up to a 7-2 lead. Valley Garden retaliated with a third goal but Portage scored again before the end to earn the 8-3 win.

Lane Donald led the scoring with four of the eight goals while Grady Currie and Avery Coltart scored two apiece.

Coaches Ian Currie and Jerry Lupkowski are very pleased with the boys for having won against the league's top team.

Lupkowski says they're thrilled with how the boys passed and maneuvered the ball.

"They fought for position and were first to the ball throughout the game."

Portage FC will try to keep up the momentum when they face St. Charles next week.
