This weekend, the Prairie Ripples Art Tour is going on across Portage, as well as in MacGregor. It's a self-guided tour and a free event, that showcases work from 23 artists. Portage and District Arts Centre art program director Lee Beaton explains there'll be stations set up in several locations, that show the work of up to 3 artists.

"Basically, there's a map in our brochure," says Beaton. "And you can go around to each of the different artists in whichever order you want to go to. It's a 2-day event. You can take it in all in one day, or split it up and do half of them one day, half in the other day. It depends on how much time you want to spend."

Beaton also adds they're having an "Ask the Artist" scavenger hunt during the tour, and if you fill out the form, you'll be entered to win a discount coupon for the Prairie Ripples art and craft sale in November.
