Last month an aggravated assault occurred on Royal Road North in Portage la Prairie, and the categorization has just recently changed to homicide. Here's RCMP Media Relations Officer Tara Seel.

"On May 23rd, approximately 7:30 p.m. a 56 year-old male was in his yard at his residence in the 400 block of Royal Road North when he was assaulted by unidentified suspects," says Seel. "At that time he did suffer severe life-threatening injuries. He was immediately transported to hospital."
