A.M.M President Doug Dobrowolski.

Elected officials from across the Central Plains have had a chance to voice their concerns and priorities to the Association of Manitoba Municipalities.

Members of the A.M.M. recently met with 13 municipal councils. The A.M.M. makes it a priority to visit each of its 197 member municipalities at least once during each four year cycle.

President Doug Dobrowolski says it is very important for them to  discuss critical issues and communicate on a one on one basis with its members.

Dobrowolski says the major topic on everyones minds was the ongoing recovery from the 2011 flood. Drainage was another issue they heard from many rural municipalities.

The A.M.M. will now take the information gathered and use it in its lobbying efforts for the next year.
