2019 had a number of highlights for the Portage Community Revitalization Corporation. That's from Executive Director Victoria Espey, who points to one event in particular...

"We moved into the main floor of our building because our team has grown so much," she says. "We had a bunch of new people start at PCRC, so we grew from a team of four to a team of seven."

Espey describes 2019 as a year of new projects. Victoria Espey talks about some of what went on.

"The Indigenous Community Coordinator, Cornell Pashe, started this year, with his Urban Indigenous Strategy Program," she says. "Mari Lawrence started here as the Community Engagement Coordinator, and has since moved into the role of the Wawokiya Coordinator. Sonali and the Skills Up team worked really hard on the project. We're hopeful that it starts again."

Espey says they've seen a lot of growth, and it's been a fun and exciting year.
