The second annual duck race outside of the MacGregor Hotel will take place to raise funds for the MacGregor Fire Department.
Owner of the hotel, Nelson Strand, is hoping he'll see you this afternoon at 2 when the event is scheduled.
"We have the little creek beside the hotel here so we just kind of thought it'd be cool to have some ducks run down there," says Strand. "All the money can go towards the fire department in MacGregor."
Strand says everyone is invited and it was very fun last year. He knows people get a kick out of it and he wants to see it continue.
"You can just come on down and watch the duck race. There's no charge for it," says Strand. "Everybody lines up along the creek there and watch them start at one end and come to the finish line. Afterward, we have a little bit of an afterparty in the hotel and a special on hot dogs and drinks for kids."
Ducks are $10 and can be purchased at the hotel.
