An accident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. in downtown Portage la Prairie at the intersection of Saskatchewan Avenue and 2nd St W.

A jeep and car were involved. RCMP and EMS were on the scene at about 6 p.m., and it is unknown if any injuries were sustained by occupants of the vehicles.

Things were cleaned up and traffic in the area returned to normal a short time later.
