The Lundar Falcons are looking to pick up their first win of the Capital Region Junior Hockey League season tonight.

The Falcons have a record of 0-3 thus far but head coach James Worthing says they have a lot of new faces on the squad this year and notes what he has seen from them is very encouraging.

"There's absolutely a ton of potential for this team with these new faces on the roster," Worthing explains. "It's just going to be a matter of building chemistry between the new players."

He says they have at least 14 new skaters this season so he isn't concerned with the early struggles. Worthing also says they will still be adding a few more players to the roster in the next few weeks as a few are still dealing with obstacles surrounding COVID-19. The coach says everything will come together in time.

"It's just a matter of practicing," says Worthing. "A lot of the new faces that we have here just arrived. Just like any of the other teams, we've been affected by COVID and our camp numbers were lower than they've ever been. So, I think it'll just be about getting these guys all together and working together."

The Lundar Falcons will hit the ice today at 3:00 in Selkirk as they face off with the Fishermen. They will be back in action again on Tuesday night.
